More cut practice in the old style. I am trying to add new links to get this style to flow more easily.

Sigma -79. An amazing mixtape totally free.
Here is the link to my favourite mixtape of the year so far. It is made up of tracks recorded in 1979 which was a funky ass year! The mixing is technical and employs really nice scratching which makes it all the more listenable to a scratch geek like me. Sigma is the current head moderator/owner of the dopest scratch/dj/technology/production for on the web - Digital Vertigo.

Blood One WTK entry!
I love this set from my good friend Dj Blood One! The originality of his timing is a welcome break from usual 'new' style of cutting where you can almost predict the next technique. Originality always wins! Look out for his new crew MÖNSTER coming out of Sweden! Patterns of energy for real!

Mac MCRAW! Gettin' Loose on some PE type flows.
First of all, for those who don't know this young gentleman is generations deep in hip hop! He gets live specially for the blog and I invite you to notice, aside from the overall appropriateness of the cuts, the transform patterns at the end take on a whole musicality of there own. There is far too much emphasis on techniques these days along with cutting to the new style pop music beats. Sometimes just letting yourself flow with the beat sounds A LOT better. As you know I love some new cuts too but only those who are pushing the boundaries of creativity. Other than that, I'd rather keep it to the live shit from back in the day! Sit back and enjoy and thank your uncle Macca!
